your horse is one of the most important members of your family… right?
If you agree, you are in the right place!
Those feelings, the ones that make us think of wind in the hair, dancing on the hills, and generally soaring to the greatest heights, those are what we love about being with our horses.
But when our horse’s aren’t feeling the same way, we soon begin to lose those glorious moments.
If you are feeling like:
Some training philosophies are not working for you;
You don’t agree with the way some trainers tell you to work with your horse;
Horse’s are sentient beings that should be treated as partners, not tools;
then Equestrian Movement may be what you are looking for!
why equestrian movement?
Holistic horseman that treats the horse as a whole entity, a creature with emotions and needs that go beyond food and shelter, is the focus of Equestrian Movement.
Katie Boniface, Head Coach & Instructor, has spent over a decade reviewing and trialling different training paths and working with hundreds of horses with training difficulties, and has found that a training based on:
First do no harm
Working from a place of connection & bond
Establishing clear and consistent boundaries that are built not assumed
Developing a horse’s emotional maturity to cope with stress
Making learning fun for the horse, and
Making movement feel good
delivers the result of a happy horse, happy owner, and a horse that is willing partner that looks after it’s human.
Together with veterinary nurse & student trainer Sarah Gallagher, they founded Equestrian Movement online tutorials as a way to reach horse owners across the globe that are struggling with the frustration of a training method that isn’t working for them.
